REMIX NOTES:
I’m going to try to be briefer with these; the other posts look like Borges’ library or something.  Cloud Nothings is Dylan Baldi’s bedroom blown-out jangly guitar pop project. What sets him apart from the ever-expanding lo-fi pack are two very-important things: 1) he has an incredible knack for hooks and pop structure; 2) unlike so many others out there who are good with garageband, his live show absolutely destroys. The image above (credit) is from the amazing Shake Some Action showcase at SXSW, which was put on by the righteous collective of Sensitive Homeboyz: Friendship Bracelet, Weekly Tape Deck, Transparent Blog, Indie-Verse Radio, Yours Truly + Underwater Peoples. A source of endless yesjams, hangs, and weirdly delicious ethiopian wraps, SSA’s intensity cranked up even further when Cloud Nothings rolled in, ostensibly bringing a massive crowd with them. The drummer (who also shreds it in Wombs) flails with an abandon that needs to be both seen and believed, and the songs are so well written that they just sound even more like big rock anthems with the additional fidelity.

The Morgan 7” is now out of print. You can catch Cloud Nothings playing shows in the Northeast of US and Canada throughout May and June.
