The first ever GOBBLE GOBBLE remix is of the song “Pen to the Paper” by our dear friends from Montreal, PARLOVR. I met PARLOVR while gobblo was on tour in Medicine Hat, AB and immediately fell deeply and passionately in love. If you ever have the opportunity to see these cats live, do NOT miss it. Think of early-era Pixies highlights colliding at full speed with John Bonham, Pavement, and that intangible, irresistible “je ne sais quoi” of Montreal indie rock bands. The record was produced to shouty, roomy, raw perfection by Martin Horn (Cottonmouth), so I didn’t have to do anything to make it sound good. Instead, the interesting dilemma became how to mangle it with love.
